The Patriot Guard has been invited by Homes For Our Troops for a key ceremony for Sergeant Luis Alvarado (bio below) on Saturday (Jan 16) at 10:00am. Homes For Our Troops has built a handicap accessible home for Sgt. Alvarado, and will be presenting him with the key to his new home. This mission will begin with a short LEO es**rted movement with Sgt. Alvarado, from the staging area to his new home at 8020 South Verde Drive, where the Patriot Guard is welcome to remain for the ceremony. If available, please try to attend to honor and say thank you to one of our Wounded Warriors. Thank you.

Sergeant Luis Alvarado – Army – Bio: Sgt. Alvarado was on his third deployment when he lost both of his legs, and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury as a result of an IED blast in Kandahar, Afghanistan on November 14, 2011. While on a morning mission that involved clearing a road leading into Kandahar, an IED was detonated near a group of soldiers. SGT Alvarado, the only soldier injured in the explosion, remained conscious throughout the ordeal; laughing and joking with his teammates as they worked feverishly to prepare him for the MEDEVAC. Airlifted to Kandahar, Luis suffered cardiac arrest in-flight, requiring that his chest be opened and his heart pumped manually in order to resuscitate him. Arriving at the hospital where he was eventually stabilized, Sgt. Alvarado was next transported to Landstuhl, Germany. Next airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, Luis remained there for five months. He was then transferred to the James A. Haley VA in Tampa, FL, for neurological rehabilitation for ten months and now continues receiving treatments and therapies at San Antonio Military Medical Center in Texas.

If you read this, please send a card with a godly quote, and of encouragement for Christmas. This family is in a battle where the Devil is convincing them that faith won't sustain them. Let's band together to send them prayers by the 100s. If your moved to send financial that is up to you. We know prayer is powerful. God can heal all their health issues and the financial ones too. Amen.
if you know them please don't forward this to them.
Otherwise please forward

Brothers and sisters this morning instead of a daily scripture, I am coming to you asking for prayers. One of our brothers in Christ is having heart issues. He returns to the hospital today and may need stints. Lord, you have delivered this brother many times from trouble, we come together asking you again touch his life, heal him, comfort his family and let him become a beacon for you. Thank you Jesus.Amen

so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
