Dr. Sophia Brown is a Texas optometric glaucoma specialist committed to providing personalized comprehensive eye care to the residents of San Antonio. Dr. Brown was born in Virginia but spent her early years growing up in South Korea. She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Biology and Mathematics. Dr. Brown then attended Kentucky College of Optometry in rural Kentucky, settled in the Appalachian Mountains, where she had the opportunity to volunteer with Remote Area Medical trips serving locations that did not have access to healthcare otherwise. Upon graduating, Dr. Brown received additional training with vitreoretinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and uveitis.

In her spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys trying out local restaurants, bass fishing, traveling, and spending time with her dog. Welcome to San Antonio Eye Center Dr. Brown!
