UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry The University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry The Rosenberg School of Optometry is located near the Medical Center area of San Antonio.

Our class size is approximately 68 students. The campus consists of multimedia classrooms, technologically-advanced clinical laboratories, vision science and clinical libraries, study areas, student services space, faculty and administrative offices, conference rooms, and other Optometry teaching facilities. The School offers two state of the art clinical facilities including the Eye & Vision Care Clinic on-site of the main facility and one which will be located on the Eastside of San Antonio. The Eastside clinic will be a multidisciplinary teaching environment equipped to provide comprehensive health care to undeserved populations. UIWRSO is the only Optometry School in the United States associated with a faith-based institution.

Gabriela Ramos Viana completed her undergraduate studies at Texas State University. She is in her 3rd year of the Doctor of Optometry Program at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry.

Gabriela is one of our most unforgettable students! She always has great stories to share and brings a fun, dramatic flair that keeps everyone entertained. If you’re looking for a laugh or a jaw-dropping moment, just ask her about her latest exciting life story from yesterday—there’s always a new one!
