A new breakthrough in wound care could change how we treat some of the most serious injuries on the battlefield.

Researchers from Uniformed Services University, the US Army Institute of Surgical Research - ISR & ISR Burn Center, and Tufts University developed a new peptide that helps severe wounds heal faster and better.

This innovation, supported by the Transforming Technology for the Warfighter program, could help address the shortage of donor skin for burn and trauma patients and improve recovery for wounded service members.
