Cardio strengthens more than your heart—it strengthens lethality. Mission success demands stamina—and cardio training helps you build it.

Improved aerobic fitness enhances mobility under load, reduces fatigue on long missions, and helps you recover faster so you’re always ready for what’s next.

Service members: You’re protected —but what about your family? Don't let crash your spring break.

Prior to travel, talk to your health care provider or local clinic to ensure your family is fully protected against measles. If traveling internationally, infants ages 6 to 11 months old can receive an early dose of the MMR vaccine at least two weeks before travel.

Training for Readiness, Strengthening Care!

This week, the 6th Medical Group at MacDill AFB demonstrated their commitment to operational readiness with focused training sessions. From a mass casualty exercise to a hands-on suture clinic, the team sharpened emergency response skills and refined clinical techniques essential for both deployment and home station care.

These exercises not only prepare our medical teams for austere environments but also enhance teamwork, critical thinking, and technical precision – ensuring we deliver lifesaving care anytime, anywhere.

Readiness isn’t just about the battlefield; it’s about strengthening the care we provide to our community every single day.

Recovery is part of the mission. 💪

Mobility work, stretching, and active recovery keep you moving efficiently and help prevent injuries over time.

Make recovery a priority:
• Add 5–10 minutes of mobility daily.
• Stretch after workouts.
• Use light movement on rest days.
• Give your body the downtime it needs.

Protect your readiness for the long haul.

Way to go, Lt LaBoy!

Recognizing Excellence in Patient Safety

Please join us in congratulating 2Lt Savannah LaBoy, who was recently recognized as a Defense Health Agency Patient Safety Champion.

2Lt LaBoy demonstrated exceptional clinical judgment after identifying concerning symptoms that indicated an internal bleed. Her rapid assessment and decisive action led to activation of the mass transfusion protocol in the ICU, stabilizing the patient and enabling a life-saving intervention. Her vigilance, sound clinical judgment, and commitment to high-reliability operations reflect the standard we uphold every day at David Grant Medical Center.

The award was presented by Col. Matthew Streitz, 60th Medical Group Deputy Commander.

Well done, 2Lt LaBoy, and thank you for your dedication to patient safety and Ready Reliable Care.
