SLEW provides FREE emotional and physical support to uninsured women fighting cancer. SLEW Wellness Center (Support Lending for Emotional Well-being, Inc.)

The SLEW Wellness Center provides no-cost aftercare services to improve the quality of life for uninsured, underinsured and low income women recovering from and/or undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation treatments. The SLEW Wellness Center program offers a holistic package of FREE services. Our services are provided under one roof in a welcoming, caring setting. SLEW provides the most comprehensive program for after-treatment cancer care in the Bexar County area.

❤️ Galentine’s Big Group Session ❤️
We had such a lovely big group session! A huge thank you to Amy Gonzales from the Love Shack Boutique for sharing about their services and products, and to Beatriz Hernandez from the San Antonio Food Bank for teaching our clients about power pairings and making a delicious chocolate avocado mousse!
We ended the session with two raffles, and each client went home with a Mary Kay goodie bag featuring a Texas Roadhouse gift card and jewelry set.

💄 New Year, New Me Beauty Class 💄
We had an amazing beauty class today! A huge thank-you to Ericka Padilla for hosting such an empowering session for our clients. She guided our ladies through applying makeup using their new beauty kits and showed them how to confidently style their own wigs.
Our ladies are officially feeling confident, beautiful, and ready to take on the new year! ✨💋

💙 January Big Group Session 💙
We had an amazing Big Group Session to kick off the new year!
A huge thank you to Stephanie Hernandez from RBFCU for educating our ladies about their services and for providing a delicious Chick-fil-A lunch. We’d also like to thank Beatriz Hernandez from the San Antonio Food Bank for teaching our clients how to build a balanced plate. She even treated us to a food demonstration featuring a yummy avocado and lentil salad! 🥑🥗
To top it all off, each client went home with a WellMed bag filled with goodies and a cozy blanket.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating yesterday! A huge shout-out to Danielle Ledezma from Diva Dance for being our special guest—our ladies loved learning a new holiday routine! 💃❄️
A big thank-you to our amazing SACF volunteers and to Santa Claus for making a special appearance! 🎅❤️
Our clients enjoyed a delicious lunch and went home with festive goodie bags donated by O’Connor and Sotomayor High School, plus a turkey voucher from H-E-B! 🛍️🦃

We had an amazing time at our Thanksgiving session! A huge thank you to Takisha Durst from Metro Health for sharing healthy holiday tips, serving a delicious quinoa salad, and donating H-E-B gift cards for our raffle.
A special thank you to the Smith sisters from Medicare Pro for helping our ladies learn how to register for Medicare and for sharing information about their services.
After a tasty turkey lunch, everyone headed home with two Mary Kay goodie bags!
