We celebrated Memorial Day with our residents and families with music, cake, cookies and bubbles - everyone had such a great time laughing and singing! We also had a ceremony honoring all of our Veterans where they were pinned and received certificates for their service to our country. 🇺🇸

Thanks to the wonderful volunteers from Wells Fargo customer service who spent the day with us recently! The ladies enjoyed playing BINGO while the fellas played a few rounds of poker!

Happy National Nurses Week to our incredibly hard-working, compassionate, and endlessly patient nurses! Caring for a person with dementia is not easy. Residents are not always able to recognize and communicate their pain or discomfort, so nurses often use other clues to determine their needs. Our nurses are amazingly resourceful in ensuring their residents get the best care possible. This week, ask a nurse to share an example of a time when they had to get creative or went above and beyond in caring for their residents - they have so many wonderful stories to tell! And most importantly, their compassion extends far beyond the person with dementia to include resident families. Our nurses are a vital part of the support system needed as family members navigate this difficult dementia journey alongside their loved ones.

To our nurse, Mary Forster, and the many hats you wear in a day, we thank you! Your commitment to excellence in dementia care makes a difference every single day. ❤️
