Generational patterns of dysfunction can run deep, and they continue to take root when we refuse to acknowledge them, address them, and take steps to heal them. For me, this is more than just a picture. This picture represents the demolishing of my own generational trauma, pain, and curses that are being broken and uprooted.
It represents breaking loose from the things designed to keep you out, bound, and separated from the freedoms that lie on the other side. So many days this road to healing has been disappointing, filled with grief and loss, and overwhelming to the point of wanting to give up… but God!
Other days this road has been joy filled and have reflected so much of God’s grace and mercy. One thing I do know is this… nothing God allows us to face is ever wasted, and those things that were meant for our bad… God can turn it around for our good, as well as replenish the time lost. What roots have you bound that you need to break free from?
Joel 2:25-27 NIV
“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.
