As we reflect on Dia de los Mu***os, we honor the memory of a devoted mother, compassionate nurse, and the heart of her family. Latosha Kinney cared deeply for those around her, from her patients to her loved ones with grace, strength, and an open heart.

Though she was taken too soon in 2021 due to COVID, her love continues to shine brightly through the lives she touched.

This month as we remember our loved ones that have passed, we celebrate her life, her laughter, and the light Latosha shared with everyone she met.

Forever missed. Forever loved.

As we reflect on Dia de los Mu***os, we remember Lavontay Drummer, lovingly known as “Fatty.” He was more than a name; he was a bright light in every room, a kind soul whose laughter and energy touched everyone around him.

A talented young artist from San Antonio, Lavontay poured his heart into his music and his family. His smile was unforgettable, his love for others immeasurable, and his presence will be deeply missed.

As we celebrate his life, we hold close the laughter, the love, and the music that will forever carry his spirit forward.

Fly high, Lavontay. Your light continues to shine in the hearts of all who knew you.

Edward Wolford affectionately known as “Eddie Love” will be remembered for his magnetic smile, jokester personality, dancing off beat, arguing with family and friends over sports, and loving his Twisted Teas. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing softball, coaching youth football and softball. He also enjoyed washing cars with his brothers, barbequing for family, playing dominoes with family and friends, listening to the blues, and watching sports. Watching sports, perhaps, was one of his most enjoyable pastimes where he cheered on his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Green Bay Packers. In fact, his home was well known for a huge Lakers sign that he proudly displayed, which often attracted locals and tourists to blow their horns during basketball season.

His kind, loving, and gentle spirit will be missed. He took tremendous pride in being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all.

Jose Gomez Rangel was a quiet man who loved his family. Patience was one of his greatest virtues and he loved keeping his yard nice and clean. He could sing very well and enjoyed singing in the shower. He leaves behind his beloved wife Jaunita M. Gomez, children, and grandchildren who keep the song of his love and memory alive in their hearts.

On this Día de los Mu***os, we honor and remember Joey H. Benavides, born on Christmas Eve in 1984 in Altus, Oklahoma. A bright soul who left us far too soon. Joey was a loving father to his daughter, Aubree Jo, a devoted son to Nelda Benavidez, and a caring big brother to Roger Benavides. Always surrounded by his cousins, aunts, and uncles who adored him, Joey filled every room with his humor, kindness, and gentle heart. He loved playing video games, listening to music, and expressing his creativity through his incredible drawings. Joey had a special way of making people laugh and feel loved, and though he is no longer with us, his warmth and spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
