Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month is a time to recognize the strength and resilience of individuals living with limb loss and limb difference, along with the dedicated professionals who support their journey.

We acknowledge the unique challenges and experiences within this community, and the importance of rehabilitation, adaptive resources and opportunities like adaptive sports that empower individuals to regain independence, build confidence and stay connected.

At Warm Springs Foundation, we are proud to support organizations like Texas Parasport and other programs that expand access to care, mobility and inclusive recreation, creating life-altering possibilities for individuals and families across our communities.

Support, connection and understanding can make all the difference on the journey after a brain injury. 🧠💙

Alamo Head Injury Association (AHIA) is dedicated to improving the quality of life and well-being of individuals who have experienced a brain injury, along with the caregivers and families who walk alongside them.

Through monthly support group meetings, educational resources and community connections, AHIA creates a space where people can share experiences, learn from one another and find encouragement along the recovery journey. Additionally, they provide supporting funds for qualified applicants.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) affects millions of Americans every year. Yet for many survivors, the impact is not limited to the moment of injury. Research shows that symptoms can persist or even worsen years later, affecting cognitive, physical and emotional well-being.

Recovery from brain injury is rarely linear. It requires time, access to care and strong support systems. But there is reason for hope. The brain has a remarkable ability to adapt. Through therapy and rehabilitation, it can form new neural pathways that help restore function and independence.

At Warm Springs Foundation, we’re proud to support organizations that expand access to adaptive recreation and rehabilitation programs that support recovery and empower individuals living with brain injuries and other disabilities. 💙

Awareness matters. Support matters. Please share to help keep empowerment flowing. ✨

Today we celebrate the freedom and independence that mobility makes possible. ♿✨

Wheelchairs are more than equipment. They are tools for connection, confidence, adventure and everyday moments that matter.

We’re especially inspired by Andrew and Ross, whose journey includes competing in the six major world marathons. Their story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible through mobility, determination and heart. Read their incredible story here: https://tinyurl.com/4xsx85mh

Here’s to movement, inclusion and communities that remove barriers together. 💙

Landen’s mother was just looking for a way for her son to fit in and be active. Instead, he found confidence, leadership and independence through adaptive sports. 🏀🥇👨‍🦽

Through Kinetic Kids, Inc., Landen found more than a place to play. He found a community where he could compete, grow and belong. From the unforgettable joy of winning his first gold medals to riding a bike independently for the very first time, each milestone opened doors his family once thought were out of reach.

“Kinetic Kids has opened doors for me that I thought would never be opened.” – Landen Noonan

Read how adaptive sports helped Landen build confidence, friendships and a family-like connection that continues to shape his future: https://warmspringsfoundation.org/more-than-a-medal/
