Don’t push through the pain after a sports injury—doing so can turn a minor injury into a major setback. 🙅

If you experience a minor sprain, strain, or fall, follow these simple steps right away:

• Rest – Stop the activity and allow your body time to heal (light movement only if comfortable)
• Ice – Apply ice for 20 minutes at a time to reduce pain and swelling
• Compression – Use an elastic bandage for support (not too tight)
• Elevation – Raise the injured area above heart level to help reduce swelling

You should begin to see improvement within 24–36 hours.

If pain, swelling, or limited movement continues—or if you’re unsure—walk into Urgent Care at Cibolo Canyons. ✨Early evaluation and treatment can prevent bigger problems and help you get back to doing what you love, safely.
