“Although it was difficult to share, I recently opened up to one of my CPR classes about my sons’ journey with a genetic disorder called CCM (Cerebral Cavernous Malformations) and the challenges they have faced with brain bleeds.

It’s a deeply personal part of my life, but I realize the power of using my story to inspire others. Sharing this experience with my students not only connected us on a deeper level but also underscored the importance of the life-saving skills we were learning together. I feel privileged to be able to turn my family’s challenges into a message that makes a difference, reminding others of the strength, compassion, and preparedness we all have the potential to share.”

This morning I had the opportunity to conduct a CPR class for a domestic violence facility. It was an honor to share life saving-skills to these group of dedicated strong women leaders.
The experience was not only informative for them but also for me. They brought awareness of the various forms of domestic violence, including physical, emotional and physiological abuse.
Although domestic violence more often happens to women, it happens to men as well but harder to identify.

Overall, this experience was invaluable.
