What should you walk away with after a cosmetic surgery consultation?

Dr. Albright breaks it down into three clear takeaways every patient should leave with:

✨ 1. Clear Goals
You should know exactly what you want to achieve and be able to describe it. The more detailed your vision, the better it can be communicated and planned.

✨ 2. Are Those Goals Achievable?
After a proper exam and conversation, you should understand whether your goals can realistically translate into results for you right now.

✨ 3. Recovery Expectations
You need a clear picture of what recovery looks like and whether this is the right time in your life to move forward.

A great consultation brings clarity, confidence, and direction. If you leave feeling informed and empowered, that’s exactly how it should feel. 💛

Age is just a number. Confidence is timeless ✨

At 60, our lovely patient is strong, healthy, and living life fully. She just wanted her reflection to match that energy. A more youthful chest, added volume, beautifully proportioned and still natural.

Dr. Albright performed an augmentation using silicone implants in a dual plane pocket, and here she is 5 months later… glowing and loving her result.

Proof that it’s never too late to feel even more like yourself 💛

Fat transfer or implants? 👀
Here’s the real difference ⬇️

Breast Implants
✔️ Predictable volume
✔️ More noticeable size increase
✔️ Can change breast shape and add upper fullness
⚠️ Plan for possible revision surgery in your lifetime

Fat Transfer
✔️ Uses your own tissue
✔️ No foreign implant
✔️ No planned future implant surgeries
⚠️ Less predictable volume
⚠️ Limited shape change
⚠️ Some fat will not survive

Think of fat transfer as a side dish — subtle enhancement.
Implants are the main course — more dramatic and predictable change.

Every body is different. The best option depends on your goals, anatomy, and long term plans.

If you are taking GLP 1 medications, this is an important conversation to have before cosmetic surgery.

Medications like Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Zepbound may affect more than weight loss. They can influence anesthesia safety, stomach emptying, and how the body heals after surgery. These details matter when planning a procedure that supports both short term recovery and long term results.

Dr. Albright explains why transparency is such a critical part of surgical planning. When your surgeon understands the full picture, they can guide timing, preparation, and recovery with your health at the center of every decision.

A thoughtful plan often starts with honest communication. Asking the right questions and sharing the right information can change the course of care in meaningful ways.

If someone you know is considering surgery while using GLP 1 medications, sharing this may help them feel more informed and prepared before their consultation.

Pool season may be closer than it feels ☀️

Dr. Albright performed an augmentation using 365cc soft touch implants, placed through a retropectoral fold incision. Shown here at 5.5 months out, the result reflects added volume and a boost in confidence while maintaining a natural look.

It may still feel like winter, but Spring Break is right around the corner. Planning ahead allows space for thoughtful decisions and realistic recovery timelines.

Before moving forward with augmentation surgery, preparation can shape the entire experience.

First, have a clear goal. Knowing the look you are hoping to achieve and being able to communicate it matters. Many patients find that wish photos help translate their vision into something tangible during a consultation.

Second, make sure it is achievable. Your exam should be done by the surgeon who may be performing the procedure. That shared evaluation helps align expectations and supports informed decisions.

Third, be ready for recovery. Healing is more than a single day. Having time, support, and a realistic plan in place often supports smoother recovery and stronger results.

Education comes first. Thoughtful results often follow.

51 years young and feeling the difference 💙

Dr. Albright performed a full lift and reduction with a focus on shape, comfort and balance. Shown here 5 months out, she is moving through life with more ease. Clothes fit better. The weight feels off her shoulders. Confidence shows up in everyday moments.

In her own words, “I wish I had done this sooner.”

Stories like this remind us why thoughtful planning and patient focused care matter.

Alamo Plastic Surgery

Dr. William Albright returned to his San Antonio roots and to open Alamo Plastic Surgery. The practice specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and body. A leading board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Albright consistently delivers life-changing plastic surgery experiences and outcomes for his patients. The duality of plastic surgery is what initially hooked Dr. Albright and continues to motivate him. “I believe that while plastic surgery attempts to improve the body’s form and function, it can also restore the spirit by better aligning one’s appearance with their internal self-image and vice versa,” Dr. Albright said. “Our team is with our patients every step of the way to provide exceptional value and support through patient education, honesty and incredible surgical results.” Following graduation from The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, he was selected for an integrated plastic surgery residency. After intense training at Penn State University as well as advanced aesthetic training in Brazil, Dr. Albright worked as a clinical professor at the University of Iowa. There, he taught fellow surgeons and honed his skills in breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, breast lift, tummy tuck and liposuction procedures. Dr. Albright has a five-star rating on Healthgrades and Realself.
