🔧💛 Happy Maintenance Appreciation Day! 💛🔧

Today we’re giving a big shoutout to our maintenance man here at Stonecreek Nursing & Rehab, Chris! If you know him, you know he’s not one to seek the spotlight… but he’s always the one quietly showing up for our home.

Around here we like to say he has a little Hufflepuff energy but that’s followed with loyalty and willingness to jump in where our residents and staff need him. Whether it’s keeping the building running smoothly, helping staff when something breaks, or making sure our residents feel safe and comfortable, he’s always there when we need him.

He truly has a heart of gold and puts our residents first every single day. People like him are the reason our building runs the way it does.

We appreciate everything you do for our residents, our staff, and our Stonecreek family — even if you’d probably prefer we didn’t make a big deal about it! 😄

Our facility had a beautiful and meaningful Black History Month Celebration filled with music, faith, and togetherness. ❤️

The songs shared throughout the program reminded us of the hardships Black families and communities have faced through history — and how music, prayer, and a strong faith in God carried them through even the hardest seasons. The powerful voices and heartfelt worship showed how hope and perseverance were born through song.

A very special thank you to Shelly Burrell for sharing her talents through singing, coordinating our program, and preparing food with so much love. Our amazing staff also helped cook and serve a delicious meal that everyone truly enjoyed.

We are so grateful to our visiting pastors for blessing us all with encouragement and fellowship:
Pastor Mosby – St. Matthew Baptist Church
Pastor Amos Horton – Reed Chapel Baptist Church
Pastor Michael Jenkins – Medina Baptist Church

Thank you to Ms. Garner and Ms. Deloris for their wonderful skit that brought meaning to the day, and reminded us of the many contributions that black culture has made to our society, and a heartfelt thank you to Willie Faye Garrett for her beautiful solo, that touched so many hearts.
