👶 Signs Your Baby Feels Safe

A baby may not be able to say “I feel safe,” but their body language and behavior can tell us a lot. When babies feel secure, their nervous system relaxes and they begin to explore the world with confidence. Here are some beautiful signs your baby feels safe with you:

💤 They fall asleep easily in your arms
When a baby relaxes enough to drift off while being held, it shows they trust your presence and feel calm.

😊 They make eye contact and smile
Babies who feel secure often look at your face, study your expressions, and respond with little smiles.

🫶 Their body feels relaxed
A safe baby usually has loose arms and legs rather than stiff movements. Their breathing may also become slow and calm.

👂 They respond to your voice
Your baby may quiet down, turn their head, or look toward you when they hear your voice. Familiar voices provide comfort.

🤱 They settle when you hold them
