MELP's loan program helps people with disabilities or illnesses that require medical equipment.

Yesterday we had another record day serving 75 people in our San Carlos location 🥳! Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, donors and all of those who donated. We couldn’t do without you your help! 🤩🤩🤩
MELP is a free medical equipment loan program.
MELP & ABLE CLOSET are run by 100% volunteer nonprofit organization that serves all of California . For MELP we have two locations first one has been in San Carlos for over 3 years. We need volunteers on Wednesdays from 2-4 to take in and clean donations. Saturdays from 9:30-11:30am to loan out equipment.
Our new SSF location takes in donations on Thursdays 2-4pm and loans out equipment on Saturdays from 9-11 am.
Able Closet is in our San Carlos location and they do both loans and donations on Saturdays from 12-2pm.

Happy Sunday Funday - In our San Carlos location we have an Ottobock Walkon This carbon-fiber device supports drop-foot conditions.
It is used but in excellent condition.
Size Small for right foot.
US shoe size Men’s 5-6, or Women’s 6-8.5
Comes with a new/unused calf protective band.
Our new SSF location takes in donations on Thursdays 2-4pm and loans out equipment on Saturdays from 9-11 am.

MELP at our San Carlos location we have a Alinker Walking Bike available for loan Matches Design with ...
The Alinker is a, three-wheeled, non-motorized walking bike with a saddle & no pedals, designed for people with mobility challenges to stay active. It works by allowing users to sit at eye level while using their feet to propel themselves forward, providing independence, stability, & reducing weight on legs. It features an aluminum frame, foldable design, & is suitable for various conditions like Parkinson’s, MS, or arthritis.

This Saturday at our San Carlos location we served 68 people and gave out 325 items. Thank you to our 16 volunteers that helped on Saturday, and those that helped on Wednesdays that take in and clean donations.

At our San Carlos location we have a variety of floor to ceiling grab bars. These are examples not the actual ones we have. We are open Saturdays 930 to 11:30 AM 1063 E. San Carlos Ave., San Carlos behind the train station please do not come late, as it’s pediatric side and the children need the space. Thank you. #100%volunteer-run

Happy Saturday! Today we helped 51 people find 174 items they needed & saved them from potential going into the landfill! 🌍 ♻️ We are open every Saturday from 9:30-11:30 am at 1063 East San Carlos Ave in San Carlos for pick up. Please do come late as it is the pediatric side time which they need to measure and need the space.
We also have a location in SSF at 325 Corey way #112 open Saturdays 9-11am.
We are 100% volunteer run nonprofit.
