โ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐!โ ๐
Sound familiar?
It's a common theme I hear from people in their 40's and 50's. It's as if age creeps in and posture gets worse... not to mention computer time, cell phone scrolling, etc.!
Most people believe the solution to correcting their posture is just more stretching, strengthening, and foam rolling, BUT they're missing the MAIN thing! โฌ๏ธ

The PMRF (a part of your brainstem), the cerebellum, the visual and vestibular systems are all key brain areas that help your body automatically organize itself against gravity. When they are not functioning optimally, your body may default to poor posture and undesirable symptoms such as:
โข Forward head posture
โข Rounded shoulders
โข Tight low back
โข Neck Stiffness
โข Fatigue when youโre standing or moving
Addressing the nervous system rather than just stretching and strengthening muscles, could be the missing link to making significant changes to relentless poor posture!
I often start my clients with this simple drill to help their brain start recognizing a
Stand with your feet hip-width apart, toes forward (barefoot if possible).
2๏ธโฃ Imagine a tennis ball on the back/top of your head and gently press it toward the ceiling.
3๏ธโฃAt the same time, do a small chin tuck by sliding your head slightly back.
4๏ธโฃThink about ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐จ๐ง๐ while keeping your shoulders relaxed and breathing normally.
BONUS: While maintaining that tall posture, slowly move your arms in different directions and see what changes.
