Hello everyone. My name is Sabrina, and I would like to share my journey with Bikram Yoga
San Clemente. A few things about myself, I’m 47 years old, a wife, mom of two, and a
registered nurse. I have been asked, “Why would you voluntarily put yourself into a room that
was heated to 105 degrees, with 40 % humidity for 90 minutes?” Let me answer that question.
Bikram yoga has provided me excellent stress management, relieved my anxiety, and has aided
in the rehabilitation after surgery. My husband Drew encouraged me joined Bikram yoga in
2021, after our son was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 7. He was hospitalized for weeks
at a time and had multiple procedures throughout that year. It was an incredibly stressful and
emotionally exhausting time for my family and I. So, I took my husband’s advice and gave
Bikram yoga a try and this practice saved me. By being in that hot room, sweating like crazy,
and learning to breathe calmly for 90 minutes helped me navigate and developed coping tools
for one the most difficult times of my life. In addition to stress management, Bikram yoga has
relieved my anxiety. I did not realize how bad my anxiety was until it was gone. At around 2-3
months of practice, the feelings being anxious on a daily basis had disappeared. No
medications, just putting in the time of attending class. Also, I had arthroscopic repair on my
hip 9 months ago. My range of motion and strength are improving every day. The heat and
poses of Bikram yoga are fantastic for rehabilitation. The instructors at this studio give great
guidance for the setup of the poses, as well as individual modifications to meet the needs of the
students. So, if you’re curious to try something new and mentally challenging, that will improve
