Teague Law is an Estate Planning law firm located in San Diego, CA that helps clients with estate planning, trust and probate needs. Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will take initiative to ensure the smooth operation of the firm, have effective case management skills, and maintain frequent communication with the clients. Specifically, we are looking for someone who is friendly, results-focused, forward-thinking, proactive, and willing to learn new things. There will be many opportunities to gain valuable experience by working with Teague Law.
Our Legal Secretary’s primary role will be to work directly with the owner of the firm in a support capacity to enable the Attorney to focus on clients and legal work. They will assist in client file input, maintenance, and invoicing; communicate with clients as needed regarding appointments and required documents needed by our Attorney; and will assist in scanning, photocopying, and sending documents out.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Preparing court and other legal forms
• Managing records, projects, and calendars to ensure all functions smoothly
• Collecting and delivering documents
• Supporting legal research
• Communicating with potential clients, clients, vendors, and other attorneys
• Returning phone calls and emails; Scheduling appointments
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school degree and some college
• Strong organizational, analytical, clerical and communication skills
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Intermediate computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Google suite, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and meet deadlines
