The month of February is always hugely focused on Love - for obvious reasons. The first photo’s words hit deep.

❤️ Love is expansion - tending to our shadows and wounds after a breakup, contemplating what we may do different the next time.
❤️ Love is courage - the willingness to look within, own what is ours to grow from and let go of what is not.
❤️ Love is appreciation - gratitude for the experience lived, surrender of the desired expectation.

But mostly,

❤️ Love is beyond words ❤️ The feeling that we continue to crave no matter how many times our hearts have been broken. That is the natural equilibrium of Love.

So keep your heart open regardless of the story you have lived and believe in love again….and again ❤️🧿

I cannot get over how beautiful the moon was last night 🌕💫✨

As I spoke with my soul sister, we discussed going beyond words and labels. Moving from the place of knowing, into embodying. A continuous process.

That is the experience of appreciating true beauty. It is beyond the expression of words. It is beyond the understanding of the mind.

Often we wonder why emotions are heightened during a full moon. Nature is a powerful teacher if we slow down enough listen, not with our ears, but with our soul 🧿💞💫

Ask yourself what is no longer serving you at this time? The full moon is a great time to release this and let go of anything you are burdened with.

I took myself out on a solo date today, massage & dinner. It’s been a while. My heart has been filled with appreciation.

Appreciation for kindness from strangers for the services rendered, for being able to have a meal cooked for me and not have to do the dishes, for living in a place where safety is of little concern. And especially for allowing myself to surrender my attachments. Although a continuous work in progress of course, but true gratitude for the freedom I feel in my heart.

For YEARS (likely decades) there has been deep attachments for certain desires. For a vision of how I so badly wanted life to look like. For people to show up for me in certain ways. For GOD/the Universe to show up for me in certain ways.

Life has a way of teaching you what you are here to learn, it also has a way to give you intangible gifts that come with those lessons. Freedom, humility, confidence, unconditional love, gratitude, acceptance, courage, strength - to name just a few.

Detachment is a continuous practice, but the more you practice the better you become at detaching. There is a bittersweet pain that sometimes comes with surrender. Letting go of a dream, but in turn learning that your heart is so expansive, it can STILL feel deep gratitude amidst the pain.

So go ahead, step into your courage of detaching from a behavior that isn’t serving you. Allow the story of something much bigger to unfold, because I truly believe that is what is in store for all of us when we allow nothing to own us.

“Even amongst chaos, LOVE is always present”. This is what came to me during my walk this morning when I looked on the ground and immediately saw the heart shaped leaf in the middle of all the other leaves.

I felt my heart expand in that moment and reflected on the past few days…weeks…months. The energy of chaos has definitely been present at times….but when I allow it, SO HAS LOVE. I’m not talking about the romantic type of love; that is where expectations can lead to disappointments in this quote.

I’m talking about the every-day-love. The kind where your friend stays on the phone with you past their bedtime to hold space for your emotions. Or where someone won’t let you give up on your goal even when you try to. Where you have late night giggles with your girlfriends half-way across the world. Conversations with heart-centered beings that are filled with wisdom, empowerment and positivity. Or afternoons filled with pure laughter, the kind that hurts your stomach, brings tears to your eyes and makes your jaw hurt.

When you focus on the chaos it is what you attract more of - and when you focus on the love, it is what you attract more of. Choose intentionally ❤️.

This quote has been playing in my ears for about a month. It is a deeply relatable message for many of us.

There is a new kind of fire that has been burning within. It is a healthier one. My past self used to throw too much water into that internal fire and put it out before it got too big. I was afraid to feel it, but through my own healing I have learned to allow that fire to be there, to even get bigger when needed.

Don’t be afraid of your fire. Continue to be kind, operate from your heart, but let that fire burn s**t to the ground if that is what is meant to be. 🙏🏽🔥💞

I heard this quote today, and it got my attention. Maybe even made me a little uncomfortable, there have been many times in the past I have chosen to be kind and not completely honest, and I never would have assumed this was manipulation; but that is a loaded word and best for each to decipher on an individual circumstance basis.

As I continue to navigate the truth of who I really am, it is not always a comfortable awareness. As I talk to people around me, there is a theme of TRUTH that is coming to surface.

Honesty can be a hard pill to swallow sometimes, but when spoken with kindness and compassion, it is empowering and helps shine a light in dark places.

Honesty very often can be a gift towards freedom, in my experience, with it comes clarity and appreciation. Once you see the truth, it’s very hard to un-see it. The most important thing to remember is to be completely honest with yourself, because your truth does not have to be the same as someone else’s truth.

If you can be honest while remaining kind and compassionate, flex that muscle! It is directly tied into boundaries, which is a whole separate post, well, because quite honestly this one is long enough now! 😉😅

Yesterday evening I wrote a letter to my younger self and told her that I saw her in her journey of desiring love from a man. All the times her heart was rejected by a boy, all the times she felt she wasn’t good enough for him, all the times she believed she wasn’t chosen because of her weight, even all the times she was told she is “too much / too intense” - and I have loved her through ALL of it. In the letter I told her that we are no longer holding on to any of the past hurt or unhealthy beliefs and my words to myself were “I am more than enough for myself”.

Today I open facebook and I see this as a post from a random person I don’t know. And it is dated yesterday’s date.

💫 Trust in the unfolding of your journey. Surrender to the direction the path goes. Continue to give yourself compassion and love yourself through it all, and MOST importantly allow your desires to still be heard ❤️
