We’re proud to share that Dr. Greer, D.O., our Medical Director and Chief Administrative Officer, was recently featured on FOX 5 San Diego The LOCAList SD! ☀️

In the interview, Dr. Greer talked about what really matters when choosing hospice and what makes Radiant different as a family owned organization focused on patient centered care. She also shared how our team supports families through nursing, social work, spiritual care, bereavement services, and a strong volunteer program that brings meaningful connection to patients across San Diego.

💜 Volunteer Spotlight: Beth Dotan 💜

This month, we’re celebrating Beth Dotan, one of our incredible volunteers whose compassion and dedication shine in everything she does.

“I chose Radiant Hospice because of a conversation in 2024 with our Chaplain Brad Villen, who suggested I call [Volunteer Coordinator] Socorro about volunteer opportunities. I am a retired RN and was looking for my next volunteer path after being in the hospital in Surgical Services. After talking to Socorro and meeting the team at orientation, I knew I had chosen the right next volunteer path.

I’ve been with Radiant almost 2 1/2 years and have become the seamstress for the memory bear program making a keepsake from an article of our patient’s clothing. This is my favorite part of my volunteer duties as my hobby is sewing.”

Beth’s compassion and skill make her an invaluable part of our volunteer family. We’re so grateful for the heart she brings to every stitch, every call, and every moment of care. 🌸

Myth vs. Fact: Hospice Care at Home 💜

Many people believe hospice care only takes place in a facility — but that’s not always the case. Most hospice care is provided in the comfort of a patient’s own home, surrounded by loved ones and familiar surroundings.

🌍 World Hospice and Palliative Care Day – October 11, 2025

Each year, World Hospice and Palliative Care Day brings together providers and advocates around the globe to raise awareness about the importance of compassionate, dignified care. This year’s theme, “Achieving the Promise: Universal Access to Palliative Care,” highlights the urgent need to make quality care accessible to everyone — regardless of where they live or their circumstances. 💜

More than 73 million people need palliative care each year, yet only 14% receive it. At Radiant Hospice, we’re proud to stand with the global community in expanding access to care that relieves suffering, preserves dignity, and supports patients and families through every stage of serious illness.
