We’re grateful to San Diego for sharing Jonathan Hughes’ incredible story and helping shine a light on what’s possible with determination, love, and community support.
Living with progressive supranuclear palsy, Jonathan set a goal to cross the finish line of a 5K, and he didn’t do it alone. With the help of Team Hughes, a group of 55 friends, loved ones, volunteers, and supporters, Jonathan completed the race in just over an hour, with team members taking turns pushing his wheelchair every step of the way.
We’re deeply thankful for the volunteers, supporters, and care team who helped make this day possible at the 5K and stood alongside Jonathan and his family throughout this incredible moment.
At Radiant Hospice, our care is about quality of life. It’s about supporting people as they continue to live fully, pursue what matters most to them, and find meaning and joy in the time they have.
