Mommy’s Milk: Human Milk Research Biorepository Mommy’s Milk at UC San Diego strives to understand the science of human milk. Breast milk is stored in the research bank for IRB approved projects.

University of California, San Diego (UCSD) researchers at Mommy's Milk Human Milk Research Biorepository want to learn more about the benefits of human breast milk and how it influences infant and child health and development. Nursing moms who choose to participate are asked to provide 2 ounces of breast milk to be used for future research projects. Some of the many things that are of interest are how breast milk varies by mother and/or by infant and the extent to which medications and other substances can be found in breast milk.
