It was truly a joy getting to hold space for some incredible parents and their amazing kiddos at the “Little Hearts, Big Love” workshop.

There was laughter, we played, there was creativity , and we practiced some real connection tools that make a difference at home. Not just in theory, but in real life. Watching everyone lean in, show up for your kiddos, and try something new together was beautiful.

My hope is that everyone left with practical tools, deeper understanding, and some sweet memories to carry with you. I’m already excited for the next one. We’re just getting started.

Hey Parents & Caregivers!! This space was created for you and your kiddo.

Join us for a 2-hour, therapist-led connection experience for children ages 6–12 and the grown-ups who love them.

We’re mixing play, creativity, and evidence-based therapeutic tools to help you and your child feel more connected, understood, and emotionally supported.

What we’ll be getting into:
• Gentle emotional check-ins & fun feelings games
• A creative bonding craft that highlights your family’s strengths
• Movement & playful activities to help kids express big feelings
• Simple mindfulness + calming tools you can actually use at home

Yesterday (January 16th) was the Founders’ Day of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. 💙

Being part of a sisterhood like this has highlighted for me just how powerful community can be. Community builds resilience, power, and love. It reminds us that we don’t have to carry everything alone. It offers support, connection, and a place where we are seen and valued. A place to also make a difference in the world.

As a therapist, I often talk about how healing happens in relationship…and living it through sisterhood has been such a gift. Having a community that pours into you and gives you space to pour back creates belonging, purpose, and growth.

Grateful for the lifelong connections, the shared values, and the reminder that we heal better together.

Hi! Kendall here! It’s been a loooong time since I’ve properly reintroduced myself, so let’s fix that.

By day, I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and adjunct professor, supporting future substance use disorder counselors as they step into this meaningful work. I also run my own private practice “Ray Of Light Therapy” where I have the privilege of working with kids, women, and folks healing from trauma, navigating anxiety and depression, and moving through life’s many transitions.

One thing I deeply value both personally and professionally, is community. I’m surrounded by incredibly supportive, inspiring people who continually remind me how powerful it is to not do life alone. That’s a big reason I love hosting group discussions, workshops, and facilitating group therapy. There’s something truly healing about shared space, shared stories, and connection.

On a more personal note (which absolutely shows up in the therapy space too), I love a good Hallmark movie. The predictability makes them the perfect cozy watch. I’m also a lifelong Harry Potter fan (yes, I’ve read the books ). Creativity is a huge part of who I am, and finding creative outlets helps me show up mindfully both inside and outside the therapy room.
