This Tuesday, best-selling award-winning children’s and YA Maggie Tokuda-Hall delivers the 5th Annual Clara Breed Civil Liberties Lecture at San Diego Central Library! Maggie will be in conversation with Mike Sakasegawa of Keep the Channel Open ! 🎙

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Reopens Sunday, March 1

After a four-month closure, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve officially reopens with trails, the Lodge, Park Road, and parking lots accessible beginning Sunday, March 1. Please note, Wednesday, March 4 the Lodge, Park Road, and all upper parking lots will be closed to vehicles for restriping. All facilities fully reopen Thursday, March 5.

This closure supported Phase I of our Facility and ADA Upgrade Project, a conservation-first effort focused on underground utility improvements and infrastructure needed for future restroom upgrades. Active construction is paused to protect the nesting season of the threatened California gnatcatcher.

Phase II is planned for Fall 2026 and will include the construction of a new ADA-compliant restroom and additional infrastructure improvements.

Thank you for your patience as we invest in accessibility while upholding the highest conservation standards.
