Self-care isn’t a bubble bath.
It’s boundaries.
It’s saying no.
It’s texting a friend back after weeks of silence, not out of guilt, but because you want connection.
It’s asking yourself, “What do I actually need today?” and honoring the answer.

As the holiday season approaches, I’m seeing a rise in pressure, perfectionism, and emotional overload, especially from the moms in my New Mom School classes and the clients I work with in therapy. There’s so much giving happening this time of year, and not nearly enough receiving, when it comes to rest, support, and space to just be.

So this month, I’m shifting the lens.
We’re not talking about self-care as something you earn.
We’re talking about soul care, the kind that honors all of you.
Across every domain: physical, emotional, mental, social, you deserve to feel supported, not just stretched thin.

This week, I’ll be sharing real, personal moments of how I’m caring for my soul: physically, emotionally, mentally, and socially. No fluff. Just the messy, meaningful things that keep me grounded.

Third pregnancy hits different when you’ve got two kids, a business, and a whole lot more clarity about what you need.

Lately, self-care looks like:
• Leaving the dishes in the sink (gasp 😅)
• Saying no without explaining myself
• Going to the gym because it’s my therapy too
• Choosing rest without guilt

Pregnancy doesn’t pause life—but it does invite me to move slower, softer, and more intentionally.

Let’s talk about maternity leave, therapist edition.

With baby #3 on the way, I’ve decided to start my leave at the end of November. That gives me space to enjoy the holidays with my family, settle into the third trimester, and begin this next chapter with more presence and peace.

A little personal news… I’m pregnant! 💛

This one feels extra meaningful.
Maybe it’s because I’m doing it with two little ones already by my side.
Maybe it’s because this season of life is asking me to slow down in ways I haven’t before.
Maybe it’s because it feels both tender and strong at the same time.

Either way, I’ve been holding this quietly for a while and now it feels like time to share. Not because I have everything figured out. But because this is part of the story, too.

Sometimes the first sign of emotional burnout shows up in your body, not your thoughts.

Try this check-in:
Jaw tension or clenched teeth?
Trouble sleeping, even when you’re exhausted?
Snapping at things you’d normally let go?
Those are signals, not defects.

Start here:
Take 3 slow breaths
Put your hand over your heart and name how you feel
Step outside for 60 seconds of stillness

Save this for the days your brain says “power through” but your body says “please pause.”
