This week, our Youth Center team joined the First Annual Native Youth Conference! πͺΆ
They led hands-on workshops where youth painted mini pots, planted sunflowers, and learned how to make sage bundles with their families. Thank you to the Indian Education Program β San Diego Unified School District for hosting this powerful gathering of Native students, families, and community partners.
βActivities like planting, painting, and sage bundling help youth create and connect, supporting emotional wellness and healthy decision-making. Cultural connection strengthens identity, confidence, and belonging which are the foundations of prevention.β

Our Youth Center continues this kind of work every week. We offer a safe, welcoming space for youth to drop in, do homework, create art, and build meaningful connections.
