**Sarcopenia** is the **age-related loss of muscle mass, strength, and function**
This typically begins in our mid 30s and accelerates during midlife—especially for women in perimenopause and menopause.
In simple terms:
It’s when the body starts breaking down muscle faster than it rebuilds it.
Over time, this can lead to:
* Decreased strength and stability
* Slower metabolism
* More joint pain and fatigue
* Higher risk of falls or injury
The empowering part (because you know I’m not here to be gloomy 😉): sarcopenia is **not inevitable**. Muscle responds to strength training, adequate protein, proper recovery, and supportive care...like massage -wink wink. 💆🏻♀️
Midlife is actually a powerful season to *protect* and rebuild muscle—on purpose, for purpose, living with purpose. 💪✨
