Our Exploration Lab turned the park into a STAGE! 🎤✨

This week, the kids kicked off their outing with an impromptu talent show packed with dancing, singing, and stand up comedy. No p**p jokes were harmed in the making of these performances!🙈😅

This week, our ELP learners strengthened fine motor skills, communication, inhibition and practiced interactive play skills through board games. Blending purposeful play with supportive teaching from our qualified therapists helps our learners grow together and feel confident every step of the way!

This year we are thrilled to announce we’ll be teaming up with Feeding San Diego and Care House for a Holiday Drive supporting families in need. From toys to toiletries, and everything in between, every item donated helps us uplift local families in a meaningful way.

🦉✨ Our Exploration Lab social group stopped by the clinic for our monthly craft day! This month’s project — owl puppets! 🎨👐 We practiced following multi-step directions, using our inhibition skills, and communicating while sharing, taking turns, and working together. Such a fun way to build creativity and connection!

Fall fun is in full swing!

Our Exploration Lab took their community-based social group to the Goff Family Pumpkin Patch, where they worked together on a fun teamwork activity to reach their shared goal! 🍂 We love fall for the unique opportunities it brings to lean into seasonal, hands-on experiences. We’re already looking forward to our November and December holiday-themed outings! 🎃🤎

No outdoors, no problem! Let’s be honest — we love our sunny San Diego days and getting outside as much as we can, but when it rains, there’s nothing to do but pivot… and pivot we did! ☔️ With the help of our amazing Occupational Therapist, Angelica Smith, our little beakers in the ELP program explored three different obstacle courses — each focused on unique sensory components for group movement. It’s safe to say we had an absolute blast! 💪🌈
