As April comes to an end, we want to recognize the Autistic Community of artists who inspire us everyday. We are honored to be able to use Revision as a platform for voices that deserve to be heard, and for sharing talents that have a valued place in the art scene. Yesterday one of the artists in residence, Zoe, was invited to share her experiences on KPBS Midday Edition. The segment is posted in our linktree. Please take a listen✨
Thanks for inviting Jessica and Zoe to be part of the important conversation about Autism Acceptance Month.

Happy Earth Day 🌎

Pictured here: Vickie presenting at Understanding Differences Day at Camarena Elementary, an all-ages free public workshop we held, Charlie’s work on display at a local coffee shop, Sydney participating in a rally with support of a Mentor, a pen pal project we created that connects artists with Seniors. These are just a few of examples of the impact Revision has on the community. We participate in so many different activities that we often can’t keep up with publicly sharing them. Funding the arts is a vital component to our economy, and to the individuals we serve. With the proposed city budget cuts for next year, we could lose the largest grant we have been promised. We are sharing this post to educate so that more can be aware of the challenges that we often don’t highlight as an organization. Follow San Diego ART Matters for more updates.

We’ve entered Earth Month, which means we have our Annual Revival Art Exhibition to look forward to 🌱 Please join us Saturday April 18th for our favorite community event, at our La Mesa Gallery. This year we have a stellar line up of participating artists, a styrofoam linoprinting demo and card making activity from 1-2pm, live music starting at 1:30pm, beverages, milkweed starter plants, and our small gift shop will be open as well. Proceeds benefit our non-profit organization, and the neurodivergent artists enrolled in our creative arts program. Come meet other environmental minded people or make a free print 🌱 All ages welcome.
