Since plastics became commonplace in the fifties, most of them are still existing in our environment, oceans and soil. The reason is that they break up in time into millions of microparticles.
The second bad news is that very little of the so-called recyclable plastic is recycled. A lot of them are just too small or they are colored, which makes them unrecognizable by the sorting machines.
Just have a look in your bathroom or medicine cabinet, which counts as your monthly supply. Multiply it by 12…

Every little effort helps. We must stop using one-time plastics as much as possible and this is just a start.

Here is what I love and why I do it…

My name is Reenie Assa. I am a pharmacist and throughout the years my interest was traditional cosmetic formulas from Europe. In the times before the big chains and in the absence of the cosmetic giants these ointments and creams were prepared in the Apothecary. My aim is to provide you with the best of both worlds – the traditional and the modern.

With my products I want to bring the magic of those lost times when you can order your custom cosmetics from your favorite pharmacist and even reuse your jar (we care for our environment!). I also provide homeopathic and nutritional consultations – taking a holistic approach, where mind and body are balanced.

I am developing and rediscovering cosmetics that are clean, effective and proven with time. The products are of mostly natural origin and therefore have a defined shelf life. No preservatives, no animal testing, no artificial fragrances. Every batch is made in small amounts and individually customized for you, so sometimes it might take few days to prepare. It is so important to know when your cream was done and to be able to trace all the ingredients!
