On the Path we don't hide from negativity. Because we practice, our ability to access Joy becomes so immense that the negativity we must deal with is always much smaller than our joy.

Being in a state of joy allows us to meet every situation with compassion and wisdom, giving us the tools to do what needs to be done in that moment.

This is the Age of Illumination. We must use our discrimination to slice through the ignorance of illusions. We must use discrimination to slice through the habitual patterns that keep us bound to suffering.

In the age of illumination, we may not like what we see on the surface. With discrimination we can slice through our harmful behaviors and act with wisdom and compassion.

When we are caught by greed, we want more more more, and it is never enough.

When we flip the focus to Gratitude, we see the abundant nature of life and are able to see the path to connect with all that we need.

Both greed and gratitude require energy. One makes us feel alone and sick, whereas the other makes us feel whole and hopeful.

The choice is always yours in every moment.

Taming your mind gives you the power to make that choice consciously.

When we focus only on what benefits us, we easily get tangled up in greed. Focusing on generosity opens a smoother path.

Our furry companions always know the perfect moment when we need a reminder to be gentle.
If you don't have the companionship of a cat or dog, befriend a plant or rock or anything from Mother Nature to help keep you grounded in moments when you are spinning.

We cannot avoid anger - it is part of the human experience. When anger does arise, instead of rushing with it as it moves us through our habitual patterns, we can cultivate gentleness. Gentleness allows us to utilize anger as motivation for right action.

This keeps us from unconsciously smashing everything around us and causing unnecessary harm. When we embrace our anger with gentleness, we move ourselves into alignment with what needs to be done. It is not passivity. It is conscious awareness of energy that must move. The end result is the anger becomes pacified and we discover peace even as we move through challenging experiences.
