Ana graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a prestigious acupuncture school in the United States. She is also licensed by the California State Acupuncture Board (L.Ac.). She was born in Brazil, where she spent her childhood and early adult years. She has been in San Diego for almost two decades now. After working in a pre-school as a teacher and in the corporate marketing field, she came across acupuncture in search for healing her own migraine ailment. She was fascinated by Oriental Medicine and her professional life took a big turn. During clinical hours in school she had the opportunity to treat a vast number of illnesses from orthopedic conditions, to digestive ailments, and emotional disorders. She also interned at Rady’s Children Hospital for a year, while completing her clinical hours, and had the opportunity to assist many children with chronic pain syndromes, eating disorders, a number of chronic and acute conditions, and even in the intensive care unit. From all those wonderful opportunities she was able to build her practice’s foundation and specialized in the area her heart was pulled to: Family Practice. She realized our lifestyles are changing at an extremely fast pace and we are lacking awareness of proper physiological activities such as breathing, posture, diet, and sleep hygiene. In her practice she makes use of acupuncture, herbology, cupping, massage, Gua Sha, moxibustion, Tui Na, auricular, and nutrition counseling to heal men and women of various ages and give them an opportunity to prevent diseases. She supports parents-to-be in creating a healthy space for a new life even before conception. Ana is a mother of a young child and has experienced the struggles and wonders of pre-conception, pregnancy, pre and post partum. She understands the challenges of raising a child and providing a safe, nurturing and healthy environment and engendering a well-adjusted citizen. She believes that by taking good care of our little ones now, we can promote a promising world. She feels fortunate to be able to provide many men, women, and children an opportunity of healing and wellness. "A good community is made of healthy and balanced individuals. Physical and emotional health begins with good habits and prevention of illnesses".

Auriculotherapy is a healing modality that makes use of points localized in the outer ear to promote physiological equilibrium.
The ear holds a microsystem of the body.
Points in the ear can be used to treat particular areas of the body and to regulate various bodily functions.
Practitioners commonly needle strategic points in the ear during acupuncture session to enhance outcomes.
Another common use of auriculotherapy consists of applying tiny bandage stickers which hold seeds or metal pellets on specific points that may be stimulated by patients at home, extending the therapeutic care beyond sessions.
It can be used to support healing of various illnesses and is very efficient in soothing the nervous system, and therefore in treating insomnia, anxiety and stress.

Gua sha is an ancient technique that consists of scraping the skin with a smooth-edge tool made of stone, horn or sometimes synthetic material in modern days.
The practitioner applies massage oil to the skin and scrapes it with short or long strokes until a red discoloration, called sha, appears. The therapy increases blood flow to the affected area by stimulating microcirculation of the tissues.
Gua sha is a unique technique that promotes healing by allowing the body an opportunity to disperse stagnant energy and reduce local inflammation, both present in conditions like acute and chronic pain.
Gua sha is a safe therapy which is not supposed to be painful, though in most cases, temporarily changes the color of the skin in the affected area.
Gua sha is most commonly used for pain in the back, neck, legs and arms, but has also shown efficacy in treating common colds, migraines, insomnia and many other conditions.

Cupping is a technique that has been used for thousand of years in various cultures around the world.
It consists of creating a vacuum inside the vessel (usually unique glass cups) which, when placed against the skin create suction.
This suction draws congested blood to the surface where the body can more easily decongest and detox.
Therefore, cupping restores the body's natural flow by breaking up blockages.
The marks left in the body after a cupping session may vary according to the body's level of congestion.
There may be some discomfort involved in the treatments, but cupping is for the most part a pain-free therapy which offers immediate relief.
It is commonly used for back and neck pain, skin diseases, migraines, immune system improvement, upper and lower respiratory tract infections and constipation among many other conditions.
Cupping can be performed in children, adults and the elderly
The intensity of the treatment will be customized to the patients constitution.

Acupuncture is a milenar healing art that consist of specific points stimulation through the insertion of extremely thin needles into the skin.
Acupuncture is painless for the most part.
