1 Degree of Separation

1 Degree of Separation We are comedians doing a show about depression and suicide. We bring dialogue, acceptance and hope!

1 Degree of Separation is a comedy show aiming to end the stigma of mental illness. Depression has one degree of separation--if you don't suffer then someone you know does. Our mission is to bring dialogue, awareness, and acceptance to depression through laughter and vulnerability. At a 1 Degree show, our hilarious comedians talk about depression in an entertaining and enlightening way, as they share stories of hope, happiness, and triumph. This show is an open and honest and engaging conversation about depression. We are working to end the stigma of mental illness with humor and comedy. There will be laughter and tears, but you'll walk away with a greater understanding of mental illness.

We recognize the sacrifices our Navy community makes, and we are committed to dedicate the necessary resources and services to support our more than a million active and reserve Sailors, civilians, and their families serving around the globe.

The “1 Degree of Separation” prevention entertainment brings depression, su***de, and su***de prevention to the forefront with laughter and straight talk to break the cycle of shame about reaching out for help when it is needed.

Join us on March 12th for this comedic delivery covering a hard-to-talk-about topic.

It was a privilege to present 1 Degree of Separation to the Marines and Sailors in Pensacola once again, marking our third visit with many more impactful encounters to follow. Our team created a supportive environment where meaningful discussions about mental health could unfold, and the conversations that took place after the training were truly significant. The students freely opened up to our team members, for many it was a breakthrough moment in sharing their thoughts. Mission accomplished! We extend our gratitude to MWR, Fleet and Family, and especially the Navy for entrusting us with your Su***de Prevention initiative. Thank you for serving our country. We love you.

Mission

Our mission is to bring dialogue, awareness, and acceptance to depression through laughter and vulnerability. Our comedy show aims to end the stigma of mental illness and depression. We will kill these stigmas by creating an army of comedians to share stories of hope, happiness, and triumph.

Depression has one degree of separation: if you don't suffer then someone you know does. Our vision is to cover the world and perform our show "1 Degree of Separation, a Funny Look at Depression and Su***de" to all those who suffer with depression and to all those who love those who suffer with depression.
