It’s not always about major transformations. For example, we see lots and lots of patients for office-based mole removal because - in most cases - we can remove them without significant scarring. This is a great example of just that in a wonderful young lady who disliked this large, dark, raised mole near her lip. Pretty tricky area. Could we have cut it out? Sure. But she 100% would have had a visible scar. We opted to do our famed minimally invasive approach and p**f! Here she is months after the treatment with barely any visible scarring and essentially no sign of that old, undesirable mole. Is there something still there? Yep. But she’ll take that over the mole, which is what most patients who say. And by virtue of is showing results like this you can tell we aren’t trying to hide anything. Just keeping it real.

A quick behind the scenes look into a traumatic nose, reconstruction that I just completed. This young lady had a significant injury to her nose years ago that resulted in collapse of the tip region. More specifically her left nostril was weakened from the injury and was essentially not functioning in terms of airflow. In addition to the difficulty breathing through her nose, she had obvious aesthetic concerns because of the trauma. Here is a quick glance, intraop looking at how I removed the deviated portions of her septum, and how significant and extensive the injury was anatomically. Fortunately, I was able to repurpose all of this septal cartilage to provide her with a much more functional and aesthetically pleasing nose. Over the years, the word has gotten out that Dr. Hilinski is the world authority when it comes to making new, smaller designer ears.
