One year ago today, my soul dog Bruno crossed the rainbow bridge.

And of all the days… it was Valentine’s Day.

I don’t believe that’s a small coincidence.

Bruno was unconditional love in its purest form — steady, loyal, protective, and constant. No ego. No conditions. Just love.

Today the world celebrates love, and I can’t help but feel like he chose this day to remind me what that truly means.

I miss him every single day. And I am so deeply grateful I got to experience that kind of love in this lifetime.

Thank you for everything, Bruno. 🤍

Today would have been my Moms 70th bday. Grief doesn’t go away-it just changes. I like to think she and Bruno are out having a blast and looking out for me and Remi. I miss you and love you always, Mom. 🤍

This week in therapy I had some extra paw-some support 🐾💛.

It reminded me of what I tell my patients all the time — caring for your physical, mental, and emotional health matters. When I allow myself to be supported, I can show up more full, grounded, and present… which means I get to give even more to my patients.

Healing isn’t a solo journey — sometimes it even comes with a wagging tail. 🐶💫

Paris Is Burning is a 1990 documentary about New York’s ballroom community — a chosen family for LGBTQ+ people of color who were often shut out of the world around them. Ballroom wasn’t just performance. It was resilience. It was celebration. It was survival. For many, it was the only safe space to show up fully, authentically, and unapologetically.

That kind of authenticity is healing. To live in alignment with who we are — even when the world tells us not to — restores something deep inside of us.

Healing, in any form, is about clearing what blocks us and finding flow again. That’s the same intention behind acupuncture: helping people reconnect with themselves, restore balance, and feel whole. 🌿

This is one of my patients who came in after Bell’s palsy. With cosmetic acupuncture, we worked on improving circulation, stimulating nerves, and restoring balance.
