CANP San Diego Central Chapter Serving California Association of Nurse Practitioner members in the state’s sunny southwest corner.

The San Diego Central Chapter provides area NPs the opportunity to participate through lively monthly dinner meetings and educational sessions, with an emphasis on promoting the NP role in the community and providing continuing education opportunities for nurse practitioners.

Assemblymember Tasha Boerner holds the Environmental Heroes Awards annually to recognize those who have dedicated their lives to improving the environment in the 77th Assembly District, San Diego, and California.

The San Diego Central chapter of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) was represented by Ruth Hickman FNP-BC at this event because we understand the close relationship between the health of the environment and the health of individuals and communities.

Those honored were from the SeaWeeders Solana Beach Garden Club, San Diego Bay Wildlife, Flock Freight, Friends of Famosa Slough, American Academy of Pediatrics (Dr. Vi Nguyen), Del Mar Climate, Day’s Edge Productions, and Canyon Crest Academy.
