💥 Two of the biggest reasons disc injuries happen — and why most people never hear this explained clearly.
1️⃣ Trauma
Car accidents, sports collisions, work injuries — anything that forces the spine into a range it can’t control.
When that force transfers into the disc, the inner material can push out or leak, irritating nerves and triggering pain, sciatica, or numbness.
2️⃣ Posture + Movement Mechanics
If you sit, stand, lift, bend, or twist in ways your tissues can’t tolerate, your spine eventually hits a limit.
And when it does, the disc is often the structure that pays the price.
Poor mechanics over time can create enough strain for the disc to bulge, herniate, or extrude.
But here’s the part that matters most:
Every disc injury has a unique root cause.
If you don’t identify it, you’re guessing your way through recovery.
A proper long-term solution requires:
✓ A detailed exam
✓ Understanding why the disc failed
✓ Fixing the mechanics you can control
✓ A treatment plan tailored to the exact type of disc injury
If the treatment isn’t specific… the results won’t be either.
Not everyone fits into a generic “disc protocol.”
If you want help finding the root cause of your disc injury, DM the word “ROOT.”
