2. Forward Bend

Our Fascial Counterstrain and Vestibular PT, Indu, enjoys this relaxing pose.

Stand with your feet hip width apart, arms at sides. Upon inhale, bend forward from the hips. Reach hands toward the floor or grasp opposite elbows. Hold and inhale for 4 counts, exhale for 6 counts.

This pose helps to:
1. Slow your breathing
2. Reduces stress, anxiety and fatigue
3. Calms the mind and soothes the nerves
4. Relieves tension in the spine, neck and back
5. Stretch your hips, hamstrings and calves.
6. Strengthen your thighs and knees.
7. Activates the abdominal muscles, too.

1. Child’s Pose (Balasana)

2. Helps alleviate stress and anxiety
3. It lengthens and stretches the spine
4. Relieves neck and low back pain when the head and torso are supported
