A little bit about what we do...
The Remedy garden grows, processes, and shares our many organically grown herbs with our primarily low income/refugee/immigrant community. We value Mutual Aid and reciprocity in their many forms. We also value popular education and the knowledge that already exists in the community which is quickly and easily lost due to displacement from land and the devaluation and hostility towards traditional knowledge in this society and the systems that dominate it. We strive to nourish and spread this knowledge so we can work towards the healing, dignity, and autonomy needed for a just and sustainable future. We see inspiration in our weedy allies healing a poisoned field and growing up through the asphalt and hope to live up to their example. - Val
