We are saddened to share the passing of Kris Hardesty. She was an advocate for UCP San Diego. She was recently named 2025 Volunteer of the Year for our organization and we were able to honor her at our awards dinner. She has been helping us for over 30 years; first as an employee of Geico and then as a volunteer. She was at every event from the golf tournament, Walk, Celebrity Waiters Luncheon, and even participated in our telethons. She provided gift baskets for our auctions and never said no to any request. She was also a Madre for the San Diego Padres. She will be remembered fondly. Our deepest condolences are with Kris’s family.
