What is Delta-8 and how is it different from CBD? Check out our latest blog to learn more! Here’s a sneak peek 👀🌱
What is the Difference Between Delta-8 and CBD?
Cannabinoids are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa plant, also known as cannabis or h**p. These compounds bind to the body’s receptors and deliver a range of physical, emotional, and mental effects. Delta-8 THC is an isomer of Delta-9, with the only difference being in the double bond position between two carbons. Therefore, Delta-8 THC has neuroprotective properties and carries less psychoactive properties compared to conventional THC.
While it naturally occurs in cannabis plants, Delta-8 is a less potent type of THC. Even though it’s less potent, it does still cause a high. Many users rave about the similarities between Delta-8 and the THC in ma*****na. However, it also stands to provide a high of its own. It’s found in h**p and since the 2018 Farm Bill made it and other h**p derivatives legal, it’s only continued to grow in popularity.
Anecdotal evidence shows a range of potential health benefits that Delta-8 might have. However, there’s still a lack of scientific proof so you will want to consult with a doctor before taking Delta-8 products. Compared to Delta-8, there are more studies on the CBD’s benefits, but more studies are needed. We’ve detailed the potential benefits of both cannabinoids based on anecdotal evidence.
Delta-8 binds to the CBD1 receptors in the endocannabinoid. These receptors are known for regulating anxiety and play a significant role in how the body responds to stressful situations and depression. Delta-8 initiates an anti-anxiety response in the endocannabinoid system (ECS), blocking the signs of anxiety effects.
