Mirrors are fun for tummy time and floor play for your baby! For older children, mirrors can also be helpful for motor planning, giving a visual cue for how to move the body, or for learning to produce certain speech sounds by watching the mouth. Mirrors are a go-to tool in all of our services and for all ages!

The 𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 is the sensory system that responds to changes in head position, gravity, body movements through space, and coordinates movements of the eyes, head, body, muscle tone, equilibrium, and attention. Signs of a hypersensitive vestibular system include getting motion sick. Signs of hyposensitive system include loving roller coasters! (emoji) It’s important to note that these responses can be changed with intervention or exposure. For example, most kids “grow out” of car sickness.
