A new year brings a natural opportunity to pause, reset, and check in with our mental and emotional health. Mental wellness is not about perfection. It is about balance, support, and having the tools to care for ourselves through everyday stress and life changes.

In healthcare and clinical research, mental wellness is deeply connected to patient experience, caregiver support, and the wellbeing of the teams who make this work possible.

A few reminders for the month:
✔️ Mental wellness includes rest, boundaries, and asking for support when needed
✔️ Stress and burnout can affect anyone, including healthcare workers and caregivers
✔️ Small habits, such as movement, connection, and mindful breaks, make a meaningful difference
✔️ Compassion for ourselves is just as important as compassion for others
✔️ Community, workplace culture, and access to care contribute to stronger mental health

At M3 Wake Research, we believe that caring for people begins with creating environments where patients and staff feel supported, understood, and valued.

Prioritizing mental wellness helps strengthen every part of our community.

As 2025 comes to a close, we look back at every milestone, connection, and breakthrough across our network. We expanded access, strengthened partnerships, and leaned into innovation. Most of all, we kept people at the center: participants, researchers, and caregivers.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

’Twas the night before Wake Break, and all through the sites,
Not a protocol was stirring, no CRAs in sight.
The binders were filed and the data locked tight,
In hopes that the Wake Break would soon be in sight.

The monitors nestled away from their screens,
While visions of inbox-free days filled their dreams.
With sponsors all answered and queries all clear,
The team settled in as year-end drew near.

When out in the office, there arose such a cheer,
A message went out so all staff could hear:
That M3 Wake Research, with thanks for your drive,
Would pause operations for teams to recharge and revive.

So please note our network will be closed with good cheer,
From midday 12/24 through 1/1 next year.
No meetings, no metrics, no timelines to chase,
Just rest, relaxation, and well-earned free space.

Thank you for your dedication, precision, and care,
For helping advance research beyond compare.
Now log off, wind down, and enjoy the break.
From M3 Wake Research, Happy "Wake Break"!

Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and restorative holiday season.

Did you know simple handwashing with soap and water remains one of the most effective defenses against infection? Clean hands can prevent respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses, reduce the spread in homes and public spaces, and protect vulnerable populations. Every time you wash, you safeguard yourself and others.

Think of a clinical trial like preparing a big holiday gathering: there’s planning, coordination, clear roles, safety checks, and keeping everyone informed and supported. Just as a successful dinner needs teamwork, every clinical trial depends on careful design, oversight, and communication. And when things flow smoothly, everyone feels respected and taken care of.

Wake Up With Wake means showing up energized, connected, and ready to celebrate the wins together.

Throughout 2025, one GIF became a go to way our teams marked milestones, shared excitement, and lifted each other up.

Whether we were celebrating a study launch, hitting enrollment milestones, welcoming new team members, or cheering each other on, this GIF showed up again and again. And honestly, that feels pretty fitting.

Because at M3 Wake Research, wins are shared. Progress happens through collaboration. And success is something we celebrate together.

Here’s to the moments big and small that made 2025 worth celebrating, and to the teams who made them happen.

We’re proud to support studies focused on next-generation contraceptive solutions that reflect the needs, preferences, and voices of real people. It’s all part of our commitment to advancing women’s health through inclusive, patient-centered research.

Let’s address one common myth related to clinical trials.

Myth: Participation in clinical trials is expensive.
Fact: Most trials cover participant costs like medical procedures related to the condition being studied, travel, and sometimes compensation for time. Insurance is not required for the research portion of care.

Knowledge helps remove fear. Ask questions. Understand your rights. Research is built on trust.

As the holidays approach, gatherings and travel increase—but so does flu and COVID risk. Protecting yourself and loved ones starts with prevention: vaccines, hand hygiene, and staying home when sick.

We are currently enrolling participants in compensated flu and COVID-19 vaccine studies that aim to strengthen community immunity, as health is a communal concern, especially during the season of togetherness.
