1st Meridian Care Services

1st Meridian Care Services Why is our name Meridian? Meridian means “at the top “or “the best”, which describes the quality of our care. Thank you for considering Meridian Home Care.

We strive for this standard everyday as we provide personalized care, guidance and support for a variety of your healthcare needs. Kym has been working in the home care area since 1996. Working as a Senior Care Manager has given her the opportunity to provide a "Match Making Technique" necessary to place the right caregiver with her clients. Throughout my career, I have focused on providing professional and highly trained care to older adults in their home, as a geriatric nurse care manager. Based on over twelve-years of experience, I founded Meridian Home Care with my vision of providing exceptional care, maximizing individual’s dignity, independence, quality of life, and working closely to communicate clearly with loved ones and medical providers. Our company provides professional and qualified caretakers who are chosen specifically for the full constellation of needs for the individual and family being served, no matter the complexity. As I would want for my own family, it is our company’s goal to meet your needs by maintaining consistency and professionalism of caregivers and support staff. We make the quality and meaningfulness of the life of those we serve our primary goal.

Being a family caregiver can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming. Here are a few tips to help make your caregiving journey a little easier:

1️⃣ Stay Organized – Keep a calendar of appointments, medications, and important tasks. A little planning can go a long way in reducing stress! 📅

2️⃣ Ask for Help – Don’t hesitate to reach out to family members, friends, or support groups for assistance. Caregiving isn’t a solo job! 🤝

3️⃣ Take Care of Yourself – You can’t pour from an empty cup. Make time for self-care, whether it's a walk, a hot bath, or simply resting. 🧘‍♀️

4️⃣ Use Technology – There are plenty of tools and apps that can help you track health info, schedule tasks, and remind you about medications. 🖥️

5️⃣ Communicate – Keep open lines of communication with your loved one’s healthcare team and family members to ensure everyone is on the same page. 🗣️

Remember, you’re not alone. Family caregiving can be tough, but with the right support and tools, you can provide the best care possible. 💙
