Join us TOMORROW, Sunday, November 16th at 5:30 for this month’s Women’s Circle guided by the wonderful Jordi!

Our theme this month is “Pranayama Journey: Unlock the Breath Through Conscious Breathing.” We’ll move slowly and intentionally as we explore ancient breath practices known as Pranayama—tools that help us connect more deeply with our inner world and cultivate centeredness.

You’ll learn accessible breathing techniques you can bring into daily life, and gain a clearer understanding of the power your breath holds.

Wear cozy clothes and bring a mug for tea. Everything else will be provided (no prior experience necessary—just come as you are).

What if feeling better wasn’t about fixing anything, but about growing two simple skills?

There are two essential “muscles” to be flexed, stretched, grown—the ones that help us live steadier, fuller lives.

1️⃣ The first is our capacity to endure challenge.
To be able to stay in it when things are hard.
To stay grounded when things are hard.
To stay kind when things are hard.
To believe in ourselves even when things are hard.

2️⃣ The second is our capacity to receive rest.
This requires a belief in our own inherent worthiness—
that no matter what we’ve produced, done, said, or been—that we are worthy of rest and we know when and how to take it.

Make no mistake: these are equally important,
and they are muscles to be grown—already inside of us,
but weakened over time by a world that feeds us instant comfort and constant distraction—then shames us for not doing enough.

A good yoga practice shows you how to build both.
How to stay calm, connected, and safe
even when you’re pushed to your edge.

How to rest without guilt—to be still and know you’re already enough.

Keep showing up, yogi.
Every day, every pose, every breath:
a fresh chance to practice both.

Unfortunately, just buying that studio’s intro offer is not going to change your life. But if you let it—it could be the beginning of something that can. 

After nearly a decade of serving people, here are three things that the people who see REAL change and transformation from their yoga practice do:

1️⃣ They schedule all their classes in advance and show up even when they don’t feel like it

The worst one, we know. But also the most powerful one. 💡A little trick to showing up when you don’t feel like it: promise yourself you can just lay there if you need to. Just get to the mat. Don’t worry about what comes next. 

2️⃣ They get curious about the non-physical parts of the practice

They incorporate the philosophy they learn in class off the mat. They ask questions of their teachers. They show up to women’s circles and workshops to dive deeper. They read about yoga. They even bring their journals to class! 

3️⃣ They don’t let a bump in the road mean the *end of the road*. 

Get busy for a couple weeks? Household hit with the flu? Go on vacation? The biggest mistake people make is thinking that just because they’ve hit a little setback it means they might as well not go back. The most powerful thing you can do after a long break is get back on the proverbial horse.

Because of the ongoing government shutdown, many families who rely on food assistance programs aren’t receiving their usual benefits right now.

If you’re able, we’re collecting non-perishable food items at the studio to donate to the San Diego Food Bank. Just pop a few extras into your yoga bag and drop them off and we’ll take care of the rest. 💓🙏✨

We’re so fortunate to be in a position to help, and we’re grateful for this community’s generosity.

The yoga was powerful. The people made it unforgettable.

When we hosted our first retreat last year, we knew it would be special. But we didn’t expect the depth of connection that we’d all experience—the dinner table conversations, the poolside laughter, the way people who may never have otherwise crossed paths forged true, deep friendships.

If you’re worried about coming alone: DON’T. We cannot stress enough how little there is to worry about if you’re coming solo. It’s hard to even remember who from last year came “together” because by the end it was just one big happy family.

We founded Honey because we love yoga. Actually, we founded Honey because we love our community and we believe yoga is the best way we can serve it.

The dream was to create a "middle space" - a clean, neutral and safe environment to practice yoga. Where what you wear doesn't matter (pajamas are yoga pants too), what you like to wear doesn't matter and what you do in your own time is up to you.

Honey is for everyone, because everyone deserves what yoga has to offer. The benefits are yours for the taking—whatever it is you're looking for, we're here to help you find. We strive to bring you great yoga in a beautiful space, the rest is up to you!
