A very special Santa paid a visit to our Memory Suites Residents!
Miriam Lopez, one of our Memory Suites Activity Assistants, dressed up in a Santa blow-up costume to spread holiday cheer and laughter during the Memory Suites Resident Holiday Party!

She even did the Christmas boogie to live music by Taylor Bassett and posed with residents for sweet photos to send to their families.

Residents congregated in the lobby for the Menorah Lighting this week and several residents took turns leading the ceremony for the group. Each day they led with blessings, followed by the candle lighting and a discussion on the day's topic.

Our Residents enjoyed a walk through an immaculate & artistically decorated Christmas filled house. Every surface of the house either had a Christmas tree or other Christmas decoration! Each of the 164 trees has a theme and all of them beautiful in their own way.

Memory Suites Residents enjoyed a night on the town! Dashing through the local communities on their very own sleigh ride to look at the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights. They even took a jaunt through the famous Candy Cane Lane in Poway!

Memory Suites Residents had their creative juices flowing yet again. This time they each created a gingerbread house full of personality and flare. Inside each house, a personalized ornament can be found for the family member that receives the gingerbread house.

This past Sunday we took our residents to the "Holidays Around the World" Concert at the Grand Ritz Theater in Escondido. This was the Nort County Melody Makers' debut performance! This group is a non-profit organization made to support the North County Community by raising money for music education in the form of grants, scholarships and other types of assistance.

This Holiday Season we were honored to host the Mei Yin Piano Recital for her students ages 5 and up! Each student showed their amazing talent with each song they played. The students played a wide variety of songs but many of them were beautiful Christmas classics to get everyone in the Holiday Spirit!

What a talented group of young musicians! We were thrilled to have them play for our residents and hope they can come back for a repeat performance next year!

Happy Holidays from Silvergate Rancho Bernardo! We kicked off the Holiday Season with a Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration featuring The Music Men Choir. Every year a resident is chosen to light the tree and this year Mrs. Mandy Wong had the honor of lighting the tree!

During the celebration we also took the time to acknowledge all of our December Birthdays. Residents enjoyed the various appetizers, cake and of course the live entertainment!

This Veterans' Day we invited all our Veterans to attend our annual Veterans' Day Recognition BBQ where they were all acknowledged and thanked for their service. Starting off our celebration our band, The Sweethearts of Swing and The Boys in the Band played a beautiful military anthem melody to recognize all branches of service. Bob Beavers led a captivating speech about the history of Veterans' Day and how appreciated they are every day. Aiding Bob in the ceremony, Johnathan from "A Better Solution in Home Care", explained our Missing Man table display and how it represents those courageous men and women who did not make it home. Following Johnathan's eloquent explanation, he and Raul, from "A Better Solution in Home Care", passed out the Veteran Certificates & pins as their names were announced.

Thank you to all our service men and women, active or retired, for your bravery and sacrifice for our country.

Thank you to all our staff for their assistance in making this event as meaningful as it was for our Veterans.

Memory Suites residents had their own boo-tacular Halloween Extravaganza! Not only did the residents dress up in bewitching costumes, our Housekeeping staff paid them a visit in enchanting Día de los Mu***os traditional attire. During the festivities three lovely residents stood out in their adorable costumes and were chosen as the three winners of the costume contest!

2nd - A Pumpkin: Dora
3rd - A Witch: Loel
