Many of the conversations we’re having today aren’t new—they’re evolving.
We’re revisiting past ideas, questions, and feedback with fresh perspective, informed by what we’ve learned along the way. Progress often comes from refining—not reinventing.

Collaboration is welcome, and we’re always listening.

We’re proud to officially launch the NBHWC Ambassador Program.

This initiative brings together National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches from diverse professional settings to help elevate the voice of the profession, share the impact of Board Certification, and strengthen connection across our community.

Our inaugural pilot group represents a broad range of expertise, from healthcare and corporate wellness to education and community-based practice. Their insight will help shape how this program grows and evolves.

This is just the beginning.
We’re excited for what’s ahead. ✨

What NBHWC does — and what it doesn’t.

NBHWC sets and upholds national standards for health and wellness coaching.
We do not train coaches or provide continuing education.

This distinction matters — because it protects the integrity of the NBC-HWC credential and helps ensure the profession is grounded in consistency, ethics, and accountability.

Standards matter. Credibility matters. 💙

As strategic priorities evolved over 2025, it became clear that bringing in a seasoned leader with deep expertise in coach education and program development would best support the NBHWC’s long-term vision. That’s where Mary Alice comes in.

Mary Alice brings strong experience in assessing program quality, aligning with professional standards, and navigating accreditation and compliance. Since joining us, she’s jumped in quickly—taking time to listen, learn, and understand both the day-to-day work and the broader direction of the department.

Together as a team, Mary Alice and Rachel are excited for the work ahead and for the opportunity to collaborate closely, learn from each other’s expertise, and continue supporting our Approved Training Programs and Continuing Education stakeholders.
