We were honored to host the San Diego County Council on Aging’s (SDCCOA) 2026 Kickoff Event right here at Wesley Palms! Over 60 senior living professionals gathered bright and early for breakfast, meaningful conversations, and networking — all united by a shared commitment to supporting the seniors of San Diego. 🤝💙

Founded in 1989, SDCCOA is still going strong, bringing professionals together to connect, collaborate, and uplift one another. It was inspiring to see such dedication, camaraderie, and passion in one room as we kicked off the year together.

Special thanks to Bryan Devore for helping make this event happen — and a big shout-out to the Wesley Palms culinary team for putting out a show-stopping spread! 👏🍽️

🎉 What a Night! 🎉
Our New Year’s Eve Celebration in Woodbury Hall was a super fun way to ring in 2026! Residents packed the dance floor, laughed with friends, and celebrated together as The Blue Zone Band kept the party going with an awesome mix of variety music and jazz. 🎶💃🕺

From delicious appetizers to a festive Champagne toast, the night was filled with great music, big smiles, and plenty of dancing. What a joyful way to say goodbye to the old year and welcome a brand new one! 🥂✨

We’re looking back on a beautiful holiday moment from our Christmas Service of Lessons and Carolers Holiday Celebration in the Club Room. With Chaplain Alexis and Jim guiding us, residents came together to sing beloved Christmas carols, hear meaningful readings of the Christmas story, and share favorite holiday memories.

This special service was held in loving memory of our dear friend Myron, and it was truly a heartfelt celebration filled with warmth, reflection, and holiday cheer. 🎄❤️

🌈✨ Rainbow Connection Kickoff Launch Party ✨🌈

We were thrilled to welcome over 50 residents, staff team members, family members, and friendsto the kickoff launch of Rainbow Connection, our new LGBTQ+ group at Wesley Palms! The energy, warmth, and support in the room made this first gathering truly special.

Rainbow Connection was created to celebrate and support our LGBTQ+ residents, allies, staff, families, and friends, and to provide a welcoming space for connection, conversation, and community. Through regularly scheduled gatherings—featuring guest speakers, shared stories, music, and special visitors—we look forward to building a space rooted in inclusion, safety, joy, and belonging.

A special thank you to our musical guests, The Mixed Bags, who had us tapping our toes, dancing, and singing along. They helped make the afternoon a truly fun and joyful celebration! 🎶💃🕺

At Wesley Palms in San Diego, our residents proudly honor the incredible team members who make our community such a warm and welcoming place to call home, by contributing to the Employee Appreciation Fund each year—a holiday tradition that the employees and their families are truly grateful for.

Residents and team members gathered in the Dining Room to enjoy light refreshments, warm conversations, and heartfelt gratitude shared for the staff who keep our community thriving. As part of this celebration, our wonderful employees also brought homemade desserts for the residents—a sweet token of their appreciation and connection to the community.

A sincere thank you to the Employee Appreciation Fund Committee for your outstanding leadership and coordination. Your efforts ensure that this tradition remains meaningful and memorable year after year.
