Our residents at Wesley Palms had a wild time exploring the incredible San Diego Zoo Safari Park this month! 🦒🌿

February is extra special because admission is FREE for seniors, and we couldn’t pass up the chance to enjoy such an amazing local treasure right here in San Diego. From up-close wildlife encounters to beautiful walking paths filled with breathtaking views, the day was packed with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

At Wesley Palms, we love getting out into our community and exploring all the incredible sights San Diego has to offer. Staying active, social, and engaged is just part of what makes life here so vibrant. There’s always something exciting on the calendar — and this trip was definitely one for the books!

🌟💙 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at Wesley Palms 💙🌟

We recently had the honor of celebrating the incredible residents who give their time, energy, and heart to our community at our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. With more than 40 clubs and groups at Wesley Palms, it’s the dedication of our resident volunteers that truly makes this place so special.

Their level of investment goes far beyond activities and life enrichment programming — they help shape the spirit, culture, and connection that define our community. Because of them, Wesley Palms is not just a place to live, but a place to belong.

It was a wonderful time of gratitude, good food, and well-deserved recognition. We are thankful every single day for the residents who lead, organize, welcome, and serve so generously.

We are so proud — and so grateful — for our amazing volunteers. 💙

🎶✨ Wesley Palms Got Talent! ✨🎶

What a beautiful beginning to something special. Our residents recently gathered to share their talents and gifts with one another — filling the room with music, courage, and heartfelt support. It was truly moving to see our community come together to celebrate the musical talents and stories of the incredible people who live here.

We discovered there’s a group of over 20 residents who sing or play instruments and have been hoping to connect — and now it’s happening! We’ll be advertising regular practice sessions as they begin rehearsing together, leading up to a community-wide Talent Show planned for mid-year.

This is just the start — and we can’t wait to see this group grow. Stay tuned for Wesley Palms’ big stage debut later this year! 🌟

Wesley Palms was honored to host The
League of Women Voters of San Diego for an incredible performance of "JEANNETTE RANKIN FIGHTS BACK." LWV member Beth Rankin Urech captivated our guests and residents by bringing the story of her cousin—the first woman ever elected to Congress—to life on our stage. It was a privilege to witness such a spirited tribute to a trailblazing suffragette who paved the way for women in American politics. A huge thank you to Beth and The League of Women Voters San Diego for sharing this inspiring piece of history with our community!

🎨✨ Creativity in Action at Wesley Palms!

Our new art class features live drawing, sketching, and painting, giving residents the opportunity to capture real-life subjects and explore their artistic talents. The class takes place weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and everyone is having a wonderful time!

Offered in partnership with San Diego Community College, the class is also open to non-residents — bringing even more creativity and connection into our community.

At Wesley Palms, creativity truly has no age limit! 🖌️💙
