Part 2: Keeping toddlers calm & keeping kids calm when meeting new people, even family!!
It can be difficult to gauge with family because you feel close with them, but they’re ~still effectively strangers~ to your children unless you see them regularly.
Hi 👋! I’m Ms. Elizabeth, or “Ms M” to my non-verbal toddlers. I have been a licensed bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist aka Speech Therapist, for Over 22 years, and I’m here to share what I’ve learned over the years from amazing parents and additional trainings after my Master’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy. After hours, I enjoy playing with my pup, swing dancing, singing soprano, and am learning to play the ukulele.
As always, all of my posts are generally accurate for most situations and are Not meant to be taken as medical advice. If you have questions or need direct assistance with your or your child’s communication, please contact me for a consultation or evaluation, or another SLP in your area.
Do follow BabbleBetter for more tips on babies, toddlers, speech language development, behavior, and even to have less of an accent when speaking Spanish.
Also I’d appreciate a follow to this & my other socials; Link in bio for my discount code on hearing protection, Amazon shop, and my other social media.
