Getting a toddler to listen can take some tricks if they’re tired or are feeling like pushing a boundary.

That’s where we use these strategies!!

Doing positives while giving 2 choices that you’re ok with happening gives them:
1. A feeling of ownership of the decision.
2. Help if they really can’t or don’t want to do it, or don’t understand.
3. It’s not a punishment. If we help them, we give them the reward for doing it as if we didn’t need to help them, so they feel empowered to want to do it more independently later.

It’s ok that they don’t say them all, and this little guy is doing great! This song:

1. Helps learning with repetition— saying them over & over!
2. He Repeats the Body Parts After Me and that’s part of the learning process.
3. It’s sooo fun learning with songs! 💜
