👨‍👩‍👧 Did you know your disability benefits could also help your family?

True or False ❓

If you're qualified for SSDI, your spouse or children might also be eligible for benefits.

💬 Comment TRUE or FALSE before checking the answer!

✅ Answer: TRUE.
In some cases, eligible spouses and children can receive benefits based on the worker’s record through the Social Security Administration. These are often called auxiliary or dependent benefits, and they can help provide additional financial support for families.

🚨 True or False?

You can work part-time and still qualify for SSDI benefits.

Many people believe that working at all will automatically disqualify them from receiving disability benefits — but that’s not always the case. In some situations, limited work may still be allowed depending on your income level and ability to work consistently.

Understanding the rules can help you protect your benefits and avoid mistakes in your claim.

Can a doctor put you on disability benefits?

Not directly. Only the Social Security Administration can approve your claim.

But your doctor’s medical records, diagnosis, treatment history, and documented work limitations are critical to your case.

To qualify, you must prove your condition prevents you from working full-time for at least 12 months (or is expected to result in death). Strong documentation makes all the difference.

Life doesn’t always follow the plans we carefully make.

Unexpected turns — like illness, injury, or life challenges — can change our path in an instant. But a different journey doesn’t mean a lesser one.

“Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans.” — Allen Saunders

No matter how your story shifts, your purpose, strength, and value remain. Keep going — your next chapter is still being written. 💙
