Beth Rosen, MS, RD, CDN Registered Dietitian Beth Rosen, MS, RD, CDN, a Registered Dietitian promoting a non-diet approach to gut health and disordered eating. She/her

My name is Beth Rosen and I am a Non-Diet Registered Dietitian, practicing nutrition for Gastrointestinal disorders and disordered eating issues from a Health At Every Size® approach. I am the owner of Goodness Gracious Living Nutrition in Southbury, Connecticut and I work with my clients virtually either by phone or video. I have been practicing nutrition since 1995. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Maryland at College Park and my Master’s degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, Teachers College, in New York City. My expertise lies in helping clients find relief from digestive disorders such as Irritable Bowel Disease (IBS) and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), Gastroparesis, Colitis, and GERD, as well as share my knowledge as a GI Dietitian with other health professionals via webinars, seminars, and mentoring. I have also designed techniques and programs to empower chronic dieters, disordered eaters, and those in eating disorder recovery to mend their relationship with food and their bodies. Besides working with clients individually, I have created online courses, given corporate wellness seminars, presented at conferences for health professionals, written articles for major online and print publications, such as HuffingtonPost and FabUPlus Magazine, and I am a recurring guest on the Fox 61 Morning Show in Hartford, CT. If you live with IBS, chances are you’ve heard some version of these:

“It’s just stress.”
“You should cut out a bunch of foods.”
“You just have to live with it.”

These messages are incredibly common—and incredibly frustrating.

Yes, stress can influence IBS symptoms, but IBS is a real disorder of gut–brain interaction, not something you’re imagining or causing. And while diet changes can sometimes help, IBS management isn’t about eliminating more and more foods forever.

Most importantly: you do not have to simply live with miserable symptoms.

There are many evidence-based approaches that can improve symptoms and quality of life—including nutrition strategies, gut–brain therapies, medications, and lifestyle supports. The goal isn’t a perfect gut. The goal is feeling better and living your life.

This is exactly why I wrote Gut Goals—to give people practical, evidence-based guidance without unnecessary restriction or blame.

More than a few years in the making, I’m more than a few rockstar dietitians to bring a board certification for digestive health forward so that people will be able to discern experts from influencers with just a few letters. Proud to add CSDH to the end of my name.

is a wrap! My brain and cup are full and my heels have blisters but I never get tired of learning about new research on GI disorder management and treatment.
